The setup process for all GL.iNet devices is simple and almost identical. Please refer to our official documentation for first-time setup instructions.

It's important to note that our router cannot replace a VPN service. You will still need to subscribe to a VPN service provider to get VPN functionality. However, our routers are compatible with over 30 VPN service providers, offering OpenVPN speeds up to 120 Mbps and WireGuard speeds up to 550 Mbps. Additionally, our routers support Cloudflare encryption to protect your privacy.

Our routers can connect to public or hotel Wi-Fi networks, even those that require web page-based access. This allows you to convert a public network (wired or wireless) into a private network (wired or wireless) for secure surfing. However, please note that some free public Wi-Fi hotspots have time limits, which may disconnect your devices once the time is up. In such cases, you'll need to reconnect your router to the Wi-Fi.
